Marie established The Ceylon Planters with a vision to create high quality artisan foods that really showcase the vast array of incredible flavours Sri Lanka has to offer. Being half Sri Lankan herself, and generally rather food obsessed, Marie has a genuine passion for Sri Lankan food and cooking as well as a real knack for creating delicious flavour combinations. 

Having spent years making Sri Lankan curries from scratch, Marie noticed that lots of friends and family wanted to recreate Sri Lankan dishes at home but found the long lists of ingredients intimidating. Determined to find a solution, Marie was inspired to develop a range of curry kits using her own authentic recipes so that anyone can cook truly authentic tasting Sri Lankan curries at home without any fuss.

So what’s different about our kits? Well to start with they’re all inspired by traditional Sri Lankan flavours. That's right! A whole range of purely Sri Lankan curries. You may find some generic ‘Sri Lankan curry’ sauces out there but the ‘one sauce fits all' situation can’t even begin to do justice to the true diversity of Sri Lankan cooking.

We take huge pride in our spices being freshly ground and hand blended in small batches to our own unique recipes. You won’t find these blends anywhere else! 

Not only that, as well as including all of the spices you need to make your authentic tasting curry, we’ve gone just that little bit further. Our kits come with nearly all you need to make your curry from scratch. We’ve sourced all the hard to find ingredients in perfect quantities so all you have to find is your meat and an onion!
